IN LESSONS "I got permission from the Primary presidency when I wanted to use food for a specific purpose. With their permission, I brought pita bread & goat cheese in for all the children to try (if they wanted) when teaching "When Joseph Went to Bethlehem." It was a great success and helped the children to remember the words to the song & understand just what bread & goat cheese might have been like back then."
"We only give treats when it's part of the lesson and once a year on the Sunday we do the Primary Program."
"We don't often have this trouble in our ward, but when we do we just remind the teachers that only when the lesson calls for food can you bring it to class and then not on fast Sun. They are welcome to take treats to the children's homes but are encouraged to check with the parents first for food allergies."
